We initially went to look at a used van, but were so impressed with both the vans and the business we ordered a new Fifer L. There was no pressure selling, we had a really interesting tour of the workshop, were then left to look over the showroom vans, but David and Darren were always on hand to answer the many questions we had. They have a real passion for their vans. The vans are really well thought out, storage and build quality are amazing. When we collected our van the handover covered everything, we stayed on site the 1st night, the facilities are brilliant. We headed off for a Scottish tour calling back in on our return home for some minor adjustments. These were attended to without delay and we were on our way. We've just returned for some delayed warranty work, extras and minor servicing. Again Darren took the time to discuss our requirements and the van was quickly dispatched to the workshop. We collected it in the afternoon and are really pleased with the work carried out. Quality and attention to detail really stand out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend East Neuk Campervans. They are one of our favourite companies.
Dave and Darren at East Neuk Campervans and their team produce well thought out Campervans. Their attention to detail and build quality are second to none. We recently purchased a Fifer L with an all electric fit out. Darren spent over 3 hours on the handover to us and explained everything in detail, from the electrics, heating and water through to the entertainment system. We had a question after our second night away, we phoned Darren who was able to explain what we'd not checked and sorted us out very quickly. We are VERY impressed with the quality of our campervan and we would not hesitate in recommending East Neuk Campervans.
Darren and his father have been so very helpful throughout the process of buying a new Panama P12 campervan. Initially, they really took time to show us properly around the van, explaining how they have been able to add the option of the 'East Neuk Package' of extras to the already excellent product - which was definitely worthwhile to us. Darren's communication with me was faultless and he seemed able to reply at all times of the day and night, which was very reassuring. We collected our new van this morning, and once again, Darren took his time to explain all aspects of the workings of the van, so I now feel confident to make the most out of everything it has to offer. I strongly recommend this small, but very professional company.
Thank you Darren for brilliant service again. We had a couple of little issues with a 15 year old used Touring M we purchased around 4 months ago. After a call we were sorted within a few days (isn't that amazing nowadays!) And all was sorted to the highest standard too. I thoroughly recommend this company.
We bought our Fifer Touring L from Darren and Dave 3 years ago. We had looked at all the competition but, for us, the Fifer won hands down. Few van conversions offer so much storage , flexibility, build quality and shear space to move around. Since buying Darren has been extremely helpful when we've needed help and advice. We couldn't be happier and neither will you if you decide to buy one.
East Neuk Campervans specializes in hand-built, luxurious motorhome conversions. They manufacture nearly 95% of the build in-house at their [factory in Scotland](/campervan-converters-scotland). This comprehensive process includes crafting fibreglass components, custom cabinetry, and all upholstery. As a result, the company maintains direct control over quality from start to finish, using top-quality materials designed to last.
Yes, customers can add personal touches to their builds. East Neuk Campervans works with VOSA for Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) on its vehicles. This government testing process allows for greater flexibility compared to Whole Type Approval. In practice, this means clients have the freedom to incorporate specific modifications into their campervan design to suit their needs.
The company is located at St Andrews Road, Anstruther, in Fife, Scotland. Potential customers are welcome to visit the showroom to see demonstrator vans and view the workshops. East Neuk Campervans even offers an overnight pitch with hookup for visitors, but they recommend calling ahead to book a spot and to ensure someone is available.
East Neuk Campervans provides a wide range of services for motorhomes. They handle full conversions, custom carpentry, and complete upholstery including cushions and curtains. All conversions undergo a government test called Individual Vehicle Approval, or IVA, administered by VOSA. This is a crucial step. Passing this test allows the vehicle to be officially registered as a motorcaravan from the very first day of ownership. This certification ensures the build meets strict safety and construction standards required for UK roads.
The business is a father-and-son company with an engineering background from Rolls Royce and Volvo. They first started working together in 1985 and now employ a team of 11 craftsmen. This small, experienced team has direct input into the manufacturing process, which allows for consistent quality control and a high standard of work across all builds.
Yes, the company offers a [van sourcing service](/services/van-sourcing) for customers. This is ideal for clients who want a custom conversion but do not currently own a suitable base vehicle. The team can assist in finding the right van that will serve as the foundation for one of their hand-built motorhome conversions, streamlining the entire process for the buyer.

These new builds, including the 2026 Touring M and L models, will be based on the new Fiat Ducato with an automatic transmission. This shift to gasless systems reflects a modern approach to campervan design, focusing on efficiency and updated technology for appliances and power.
