Elgrand E51 (2004) part converted for us (family of 4) in March 2025. Works completed: - Pop-Top installed - Internal lights (main cabin and pop-top) - Solar panel - Leisure battery - External electric hookup socket - Internal sockets (USB) - Battery monitoring and general electrics - Blackout curtains/rails All the work was completed in 10 days and done to an excellent standard. We’ve been away many times since and couldn’t be happier with the result. The kids love sleeping in the roof and I’ve even slept up there 1 night with my youngest (I’m 6’’4 so it was a squeeze but it worked). After a few trips we decided to buy an awning tent to attach to the van. Popped over to see Tasos and ask about figure 8 awning attachments. In 30 mins he’d pulled a spare 2m aluminum bracket out of the workshop, figured out where to fit it and fit it for no charge. Spent a week camping in France after with no issues. Tasos’s and his wife are a lovely couple who seem genuinely happy to help and clearly enjoy what they do. Couldn’t recommend them enough, especially for anyone considering an Elgrand conversion.
Altin is a true craftsman. We are so pleased to have found Ideal Campervans - we bought a new conversion and are absolutely delighted with our van! We’d looked at several new conversions before and found the quality to be lacking, but Altin’s commitment to quality and attention to detail is incredible.
