I bought a converted transporter that had been ‘professionally’ converted by key campers. I had a qualified electrician inspect the electrical system. He found serious issues with the installation. Several 240V cables had been joined using electrical tape only, with no proper junction box or enclosure. He advised this is unsafe and not compliant with expected standards. The vehicle also has an electrical sign off certificate, but based on the condition of the 240V wiring my electrician stated this installation would not reasonably have passed inspection in its current form. He also found the 12V system had been wired using 3 core household cable rather than proper 12V automotive cable, which is not suitable for this type of installation. I have photographs showing the wiring as it was found. I did try to reach out to key campers regarding this, but they have ignored me and therefore I am forced to leave this review for future customers to check their electrics.

Hi I have just had a fantastic job done on my 16 plate Nissan NV200 I had a pop top roof fitted by these chaps all I can say it’s just fantastic I ordered the pop top roof 8 weeks ago I was informed at the time they had roofs in Stock to fit my van but there was a roof that was a cheaper price but it was a 8 week wait well it came in after 7 weeks Paul rang me we made a date I dropped the van off first thing Monday he said it would be ready Wed/Thur but I arranged to pick my van up Friday Paul kept me informed all the way along he sent me photos of the job day by day i went to pick my van up after talking to Paul I was blown over how they had matched my interior carpet colour. how they had finished the hole project it was just sublime plus the van was as clean as a new plan no mess at all I have had my other van done at a different place I wish now I had taken it to Key Campers if there is anyone out there thinking about having any work done to there camper don’t think go to Key Campers They will look after you plus if you have any trouble get on the phone your worries will be answered my small van was my first project I have Learning day by day different things like who is good trust me your answer is KEY CAMPERS OF HULL
Excellent conversion at a fair price. Highly recommend. I was kept well informed as the. Conversion was done. The workmanship, fixtures. And fittings are all spot on. And really pleased I got the diesel heating in. They even took the pics and sent the log book away to be changed. Excellent
