We were forced to make a last minute booking and the both the Team at Quirky Campers and the owners were really communicative and helpful. Thank you. We've hired a number of vans before. Here is our review of Solveig. "Perfect. Solveig is a robust van with absolutely everything we needed. She drove brilliantly - smooth and economical. The handover was great and Matt was thorough in explaining everything to us. We had lots of space, a really comfy bed, plenty of water - hot and cold, outside shower (she has both internal and external shower, but we opted for al fresco and use the inside for storage). The fridge was really efficient and kept everything cool. We had 6 nights fully off grid and didn't need hook-up at all and just needed to empty water once. Brilliant! Awning, super-comfy reclining outdoor chairs, table and loads of other accessories - fab. Oh, a final word on the lighting. Great internal lights. Magical. We really stood out in a field full of vans and she got a lot of attention - all good of course. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. An excellent van and really accommodating owners that go the extra mile. Quincy (the van) is mechanically sound and has had her fair share of adventures but is holding up well. We had a great time and would recommend her to seasoned van-trippers.
Shaka - The Quirkiest Camper We took Shaka on a mini road trip around Cornwall and had an absolute blast. It was myself (Lauren), my partner Brad and our two doggos (Cooper the chow chow & Reginald the sausage dog) - and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better setup. The stained glass doors are next level. Total head-turners. So many people stopped to ask about them and take photos - we felt like celebs! It’s beautiful, and knowing it was a labour of love from Guy (the awesome owner) made it even more special. Inside, the van has everything you could possibly need. Guy’s really thought it through - loads of space, super practical and the sound system is MEGA. You can tell a lot of love and effort went into getting it just right. All in all, it’s easily the quirkiest camper we’ve ever stayed in and we’d 100% book it again. Quirky Campers were brilliant, easy to book, competitive pricing and great contact from then! What a week we had in Cali! Pick up/drop off was really easy and the explanation videos we received before going were amazing and very useful to refer back to when we were away. Cali had everything we needed which takes off the pressure when packing, and was absolutely gorgeous inside. The bed was so comfy and it made our trip being open to open the back doors whilst in bed and look at the mountains (travelled through Snowdonia). Lovely drive and very efficient with fuel, we didn’t spend what we had anticipated on that! We absolutely loved Cali and will be booking her again very soon!
Unforgettable holiday with Fern! Can't stop thinking about our time with Fern along Cornwall and Devon. We'll never forget these days with an amazing camper van in amazing places. Fern has been simply perfect: easy to drive, comfortable, It was like being in a real house. Rickie and Josh: super! They gave us all the information we needed, they prepared for us a great welcome kit with local products for our breakfasts and during the trip they answered immediately when we had any doubt. Fiona was super helpful and contactable before, during and after our stay in Saffiyah. When we picked up the van, it was really well kept and had loads of really useful information for how to run it. We loved staying in Saffiyah - found her really comfortable and easy to use. Unfortunately we had an accident in Saffiyah on our last day of holiday and even through that very difficult time, Fiona remained impressively calm, courteous and helpful.
We had a great Bank Holiday weekend in Saffiyah, from the time we picked her up to when we returned. (We didn’t really want to give her back). Saffiyah was very comfortable, whether we were just chilling out during the day or having a good night’s sleep. She has everything you need for a holiday on the road. Saffiyah drew attention wherever we went and the compliments of “wow” and “amazing” were in abundance. Clair who was there when we picked up Saffiyah was very friendly and helpful, so to was Fiona on our return. We would highly recommend Saffiyah to anyone who is thinking about hiring a campervan.
Saffiyah is beautiful inside and out - people commented on her wherever we went! She is spacious, comfy and the heater works surprisingly well. Fiona was very friendly, flexible and easy to deal with at pick-up and drop-off. Would happily recommend to anyone!
