I can’t recommend Charlie enough! I brought my campervan in with a frustrating and persistent leak that had already stumped a couple of other mechanics. From the moment I spoke to Charlie, I could tell he was determined to get to the bottom of it. He really went above and beyond — spending hours carefully inspecting every seam, joint, and seal until he finally tracked down the source of the problem. He didn’t cut corners or rush the job, and he kept me updated the entire time, explaining what he was doing and why. The workmanship was top-notch, and my campervan is now completely dry, even through heavy rain. It’s such a relief knowing I can trust his repairs to hold up. Highly recommend, And the only person we will trust with our camper. Charlie is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable, and has taken our vision and made it work while keeping us regularly updated with progress reports. Charlie has worked on everything from electrics, to part building our van and has helped us out with lots of odd jobs that we can’t / don’t have time to do. He’s also gone out of his way to ensure our vision can be built with the budget we have - we’ve tried other companies but no one compares.
I have nothing good to say about my experience with Ranvanga. the job as charley said him self before he started was simple and easy, he had to board, carpet and insulate an empty van and fit a diesel heater under the drivers seat. he estimated 2 days work for the boarding, carpeting and insulating then 1 day to fit the heater, and booked it in for 4 months, the next available slot. from what i could work out he hadn't ordered the heater in time, only the week before during a time when the postal strikes had been going on for months! originally he had told me he stocks these, he had tried half heartedly to fit it in the wrong place under the rear of the van on the outside, it was supposed to go under the seat on the inside! he said the reason for this was it wouldnt fit! there is now one fitted under the seat by another company. he completed the boarding etc after having the van for an extra week but claimed it had took him 5 days instead of 2 and that he had increased my bill by £600, i found this very hard to believe and decided to pay the original quote and told him i no longer want the heater fitting. charley then decided to get a cheap solicitor letter to try and threaten me into paying his extortionate price increase, i have included my reply to this and a photo of the heater under the seat stay away the guys a compulsive liar
