I’d highly recommend Rising Sun. We searched around in the midlands area and couldn’t find anyone else that offered their knowledge and level of customisation with their conversions. Dan was super helpful and knowledgeable since he has a campervan himself and he helped us picked the right things for our conversion. Finished product is a high standard and we can’t wait to get out and use it now.
I can highly recommend Rising Sun Campers. I approached them with a request to create a scaled down version of a VW California in a Mark 5 VW Caddy 4Motion. Dan and Simon and team at RSC were very approachable, advising me what was feasible. The finished conversion exceeded my expectations - achieving my desired configuration of two gas burner hob, sink, front loading fridge/freezer, Webasto diesel heater, two lithium leisure batteries neatly fitted in the base of the wardrobe, RIB seat / double bed, airline styling overhead locker, privacy glass and Reimo pop-top with bed. My request for a rear wardrobe locker to store my half set of golf clubs with functionality to use modular shelving when not golfing was no trouble either to incorporate. On my travels in 2025 to Arctic Norway in February and Switzerland in July, the conversion attracted a lot of attention from fellow VW camper van owners, intrigued by what can actually be achieved in the smaller Caddy space. So, if you have a particular camper van conversion project in mind, be sure to speak to Rising Sun Campers. Their craftsmanship and project delivery I highly recommend.
Had my new van booked in for a window install, contacted them and it was booked in swiftly even with email invoice and booking confirmation. They are very professional to deal with, and when I dropped the van off they even helped me out personally with a bit of transport and charging the van battery which was super appreciated. Not only professional but also very kind and easy to talk to. I felt at ease through the whole process. We had a problem with the electrics on our motor home and the team at rising sun campers sorted the issue out promptly and professionally, enabling us to get away on our planned weekend break.
