Salop Vans

Not very honourable. I viewed a vehicle at Salop Vans with a few minor issues but we agreed a price and that I would collect later the same day and pay in full. I was contacted a few hours later by one of their staff to say it had been sold to someone else for more money. This was after i'd incurred the usual costs and hassle associated with buying a new vehicle (insurance, HPI checks etc). Unsurprisingly I didn't get a response when I asked if these costs could be covered. Obviously, disappointed at this complete waste of time and money.

Bought my T6.1 high line 150ps, from here back in May this year. I knew what I wanted and after looking on line and locally for a number of weeks I decided to visit Salop Vans in person…….(child in a sweet shop comes to mind). The choice available to view is incredible, all beautifully prepared and presented. Ade and the other two guys, (mechanic and bodywork guys?) were so helpful patient and informative, letting me test drive two vans. Their imparted knowledge prevented me making a serious mistake in my choice of van, as I needed the extra power of the 150ps for towing my caravan. Having chosen my van a detachable tow bar and compatible electrics were fitted, and a service plus new cam belt and water pump. The buying process is so relaxed and without pressure, Ade is clearly a devoted transporter fan with a wealth of useful knowledge, and being a transporter specialists, Phil? the mechanic made me feel confident in his ability and experience. Today I took my van back for them to give an opinion on a noise I thought might be a bearing, they looked at it and confirmed it and very quickly fitted a new one and replaced the auxiliary belt also while we went to the shopping centre nearby for a coffee. No messing about or bull—-t no smarmy salesman, just honest hard working people who seem to care about the customer. Would definitely use them again and recommend without hesitation. I should add that I am 73 years old and have been buying vehicles for 56 years and this has been without doubt my best experience yet. Completely refuse to assist me with a service history enquiry, My van was serviced by them but no paperwork to confirm, fobbed me off saying they don't help with enquiries like this, very poor service as there's no breach of GDPR or anything data related. I would of expected better so I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Purchased my 1st VW Transporter from here last week. Could not fault the whole process from start to finish. Amanda looked after me and was very polite, professional & knowledgeable. I felt at ease from the moment I stepped into the forecourt to driving my van away a few days later. I am thrilled with the van, and I know in the future I will be looked after with servicing & MOT's etc. Thank you all at Salop Vans!

Purchased T5 Van on 06/06/16 , any one can sell you a vehicle that you wish to purchase, although it is the aftercare & professionalism that completes the experience. Salop Vans certainly fulfill that role . Highly recommended Replacement of previous 5 star review that had over 1,500 views , although disappeared ~ hence current version
