Firstly I want to say that I wouldn't base your decision to go with SCC based on location and that wherever you are in the Country, it is worth every extra mile to leave your van and project in the capable hands of Matt and Martin. How on earth do you begin a conversion project when you have no idea on any level? After ten years of dreaming, I finally had a budget of £45K total for the whole project van included, which left me £25K for the conversion itself: for me, a once in a life time opportunity and as you can imagine, one you don't want to get wrong. The most important thing to me was trust and integrity and not pretention and profit driven motives. Well, I must have done something right in life to have found and chosen these guys, who were as down to earth as you can get, full of natural integrity and professional pride, with many years of experience behind them. Such was my trust in them that I literally left them entirely to it after our initial meeting where I described to them what my vision was. The outcome when I went to collect was just what I asked for, exactly within budget and with warmth and generosity of spirit and attitude all the way through. I just can't fault them in any way at all. They select the best materials and appliances (rather than cheaper options in order to drive up profits) as they want it to be of the highest quality and duration. They are being motivated by their own standards and integrity and this is what makes them stand out so far, in my opinion. They know how to listen and they are deeply respectful. There was no pushing or persuasion to alter course. They knew I had no background experience at all, but still they kept my vision central all the way through. It was a great feeling that put me at ease right from the start. My vision by the way, was a medium sized van that I could stand up in, and which had as much space as possible so that I could do my morning exercises on my yoga mat. That meant that everything would be under the bed and pulled out: the hob, the sink, the casette toilet, the diesel heater, the fridge and a folding chair which meant in moments I could have my floor space (plus a fold down table, window sill and cottage door to the front cabin). I wanted it to feel like I was in a mini cottage with a gypsy style bed and with the bed pulling out to make an easy double. All of my wishes were transformed into reality because of their ability to listen and their wonderful skills.

Martin and Matt converted our VW Crafter panel van into a fantastic family camper. We couldn’t be happier with the result. They showed real attention to detail in the planning stage and with the final build. This included a bespoke cabin for our daughter’s bed. We got to choose everything from door knobs to light switches which has made it a one off van. Martin’s quick support with queries since we collected the van has also been a huge bonus.

Throughout the build Martin responded very quickly to any questions and it was clear that there is nothing these guys don't know about camper conversions and they have a can-do attitude where anything is possible. We were sent pictures all through the build and were excited to see it coming together. However, when we finally collected it the quality surpassed our expectations. Everything is incredibly well built, very solid and beautifully finished, and we are glad they encouraged us to use top quality items and appliances. Obviously a camper conversion is a significant investment but considering the attention to detail and overall standard of the job I think we got good value, and we are grateful to Martin and Matt for all their hard work - it was a pleasure dealing with you guys!
We took a motorhome we had just bought because there was a problem with the kitchen gas burners. Thanks to them, not only did they tell us that the gas system was dangerous, but with their experience they also warned us that the motorhome had a lot of damp and that the best thing we could do was return it. They made a full gas system report confirming that it was indeed unsafe. Thanks to all the information they provided, we were able to claim a refund for the motorhome, so we’re extremely grateful for their help and honesty. We especially want to thank Martin, who advised us at every step on what to do (and what not to do) to avoid unnecessary expenses.
