I’ve used Thurton Garage a few times and, unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me disappointed. Following a recent service, I discovered that the high-pressure tyre valves were severely perished, with deep cracking around the base (see photos). Given their condition, I would have expected this safety issue to have been identified and brought to my attention during the service. Communication has also been frustrating. Telephone calls often go unanswered or aren’t returned, making it difficult to discuss work or obtain updates. Previous repairs have also taken much longer than expected, and I’ve experienced jobs that felt incomplete. On one occasion, after work that required the cooling system to be drained, the coolant was not refilled to the correct level, leaving me to identify and rectify the issue myself. Based on these experiences, I no longer have confidence in the quality of the servicing or the overall customer care. It’s disappointing because I had hoped to continue using a local garage, but I feel these issues need to be addressed, particularly where vehicle safety is concerned.
I took my van for the MOT today and it failed,they called me and let me know and what work would need doing and a cost. They fixed it and put it through again for the pass. I was very happy with the service and the guys in the office was very helpful. I'll be back next year for my MOT.

Amazing service. Same afternoon fix and MOT of my 8m, 4.5ton, twin rear axle Motorhome. From phone call to back on the road in 4 hours. A really impressive operation, with plenty of space to arrive and park with ease, and it looks like there is more to come, with some work underway to improve the experience further. The owner of the business took time out of his hectic day to walk me around the grounds, and familiarise me with what will most certainly be my first call for servicing, MOT, and even an upgrade of motorhome in the future. Great customer service. Managed to book us a very quick date for repair to our motorhome. On the day we were told it would be a couple of hours and it was. There is nowhere to wait while job is done but there is a bus stop nearby, we went to Beccles for a few hours. A great experience and would happily recommend.
