Avoid this business at all costs. John will wreck your van. He doesn't have a clue what he is doing and I believe all the good reviews on here are fake. I have had to pay a professional to make safe and repair anything He touched. He left my van in a life threatening condition with passenger seats wrongly fitted and not secured properly or safely. He covered the roof of my van in dents with walking on it. I secured a slot with him after several thousand pounds deposit and he disappeared and changed his phone number. When I tracked him down he said he couldn't tell me because he had a sore jaw and couldn't talk. He took the van a month late and took three months to do a few days work. I got excuse after excuse and nothing was ever his fault.nothing worked and I had to hound him to put things right until I finally realised he wasn't capable of rectifying the damage he caused and it was not safe to let him try. I also discovered he is not gas safe registered to fit gas systems to leisure vehicles. This guy could cause a death or serious injury and I am glad I was able to discover the dangerous state he left my van in and tried to cover up before it caused death or serious injury.
Just purchased an L-shape bed and plywood floor setup, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The service was absolutely top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and refreshingly genuine. Not only was the price great, but they also went the extra mile by throwing in additional cuttings and some really helpful advice to make the install smoother. It’s rare to find this level of support and care.
John was decent enough to see my campervan outside normal hours. An electrical problem, that meant our leisure battery wasn’t charging and as a result the fridge wasn’t working, had been haunting us for ages. After a cursory look John detected a wire, amongst numerous others, that wasn’t connected as it should have been. Problem solved! Quickly and efficiently. Any future problems I have I know where I’ll be going. Highly recommended.
John initially fitted an Autoterm Diesel Heater in my camper in March 2025. However, a seal at the fuel tank wasn't fitted correctly which resulted in a garage forecourt being flooded with diesel and me having to abort a weekend away. John later repaired the problem and blamed one of his hired helpers. The way he installed the heater means that it only works when the leisure battery is above a certain voltage. I therefore asked him to design and install a new battery charging system to negate this and also a new bespoke kitchen unit in the van. At first he was keen to do this but I had to ring him every few weeks to ask him when he could do it. I've been patient now for 4 months but now he just ignores my calls and messages. Grow up John ! If you don't want the work, just say so. I've given up on Audax. I would not recommend them.
We put our Custom van into Audax to be lined, windows put in & various bits & pieces. From start to finish John was professional & very approachable. He clearly knows his stuff & the finished product is brilliant. So well done & finished off expertly. Costs were exactly as quoted. It was a pleasure to deal with them & can throughly recommend them.
