Purchased VW T6.1 Conversion APRIL 2026 I went in to ask advice for my own conversion and left with the VW bug. We appreciated there was no hard sell or pushy, constant calls. Dealt with Barry, Sarah and Jeremie. All were pleasant, made time for us. Reassuring that they are all van people too. Didn’t feel like we just bought a vehicle but was more like buying membership to a lifestyle and community (sorry - cheesy but true). On purchase day, great communication from company owner and fantastic service- a well known bank and their spending limit tried to sabotage the purchase. One of the staff members drove me to a branch (as I didn’t have my own car there…) and I was able to complain and get it resolved. That was a genuine act of kindness and was over and above - they could have sent me in a taxi (I did explain to the bank teller it wasn’t a bogus workman scenario). All pleasant, decent people, who seem to know what they are talking about.
We have recently thought about getting a camper van it don't really know much about them. We found Camper King was quite close to us so popped along to have a look and find more information about them. We were met by Barry (not by appointment) who could not have been more helpful. Any questions we had he answered them without giving the usual salesman type nonsense. Needless to say we had a number of questions and when asking how something worked it was no trouble for him to demonstrate. Test drive? Not a problem for for Barry. My only problem is (and this is not about Camper King or Barry) once you start looking at these things it's a very slippery slope. Make sure you have deep pockets before browsing 😂. Currently keeping an eye on their website for the right one to come available. Highly recommend Camper King and I have not even bought anything........yet. UPDATE So, remember the slippery slope I mentioned earlier? We reached the bottom of that very short, very steep slope very quickly and this week we have driven off with a campervan. How did that happen? I will say this, everyone at CamperKing has been absolutely brilliant, from the day we went to have a browse and ask a a tonne of questions, to going back and test driving a different one (which we ended up buying) with, yep, even more questions, to the purchase and the handover. Everyone we have dealt with brought their A+++ Game. The day of the handover there was a huge fanfare to greet us and when we drove out there was a 100 piece marching band to lead us to the exit..... OK I'm kidding about the fanfare and marching band but that was about all that was missing from the experience. Spent a lot of time with us during the handover to make sure we know how everything works and during this time you realise just how much is in a campervan. If you are considering buying a campervan or just need someone trustworthy (bear in mind I have major trust issues) to answer any questions, demonstrate how various things in the vehicle work and absolutely no pushy sales patter the you really can't go wrong with CamperKing Scotland. Thanks for everything and we are off this weekend for our first adventure in our new (to us) campervan.
Glad we discovered Camperking Scotland, which has a large selection of vans. Their non-pushy, knowledgeable staff answered our newbie questions with patience. Looking back, we can’t fault the service, which gives us confidence going forward. We can’t thank Barry and team enough for the amount of time they invested and for adjusting the spec of the van so we got what we really wanted at a reasonable price. We travelled to get to Camperking but it was worth it. Can’t rate the staff Fraser, Jeremie, Sarah and Barry highly enough and if later we want to change or accessorise, we won’t hesitate to go back.
Absolutely fantastic advice and knowledge from Jeremie at Camperking falkirk. I am incredibly grateful for all his patience and help when choosing my very first campervan. Completely in love with my new van and super excited to go on many new adventures. The quality of the conversation is top notch and I would completely recommend.
The service received from both Camperking Scotland and Camperking HQ was first class. Barry’s knowledge, care and communication throughout the process really reassured us that choosing Camperking to convert our van was the right decision. We’ll definitely be back in the future for an upgrade! Thanks so much. Matt and Rachael
