back in 2011 we embarked on what turned into a two year search for the right people to convert our T5 Transporter into a family camper. Fast forward to 2025 and we're still enjoying our second van (A beautiful 2018 T6 conversion) from Dirty Weekender. In this life you pay your money and you take your choice ... and in the 14 years we've been with Johnny, Katie and their team we've spent a bit and got a lot back. It's pretty simple. Camper conversions are not cheap but if you are looking for value, service, knowledge and above all quality we don't think you can do much better then this crew. Just saying...
We originally chose DW after I went to the shop just to have a look around but… . Johnny took time out of his day to give me a tour of the factory 👌 after a look around and a few coffee’s we sat and chatted and Katie designed our van for us . From order to collection genuinely great people to deal with . Then 2 years later they had our van back for a full leather trim and a few other bits to make it 💯 considering the 6-7 jobs it needed leather trim,paint scuffs,wheel scuffs ,spoilers ,dents etc etc they did them all at a fraction it would of cost individually but they do everything in house. And at drop off I was given a lift to the train station 👍👍 couldn’t be happier if u want a van from people who care look no further

Highly recommend the team at DW and wouldn’t go anywhere else. We had our first SWB T5 from them in 2010, returned for a LWB T5 in 2015 and have just picked up our new bespoke MAN Van. After speaking to Johnny and Katie I knew I could put my trust into them with building my T6 day van. Having Johnny tell me over & over & over again it’s all about the quality or as Johnny puts it “ you buy quality once not twice” and he’s not wrong. Looking into the conversion workshop and also the site workshop (W.A.S) with everyone having the experience and knowledge of how to make your van perfect from a simple MOT to a full camper is what I can have faith in for my van is looked after by the right people. With Johnny having years and years of knowledge with a true enthusiast but also a great sense of humour 😂 is also understanding that Dirty Weekender will listen to what you want in your van (anything you could think of) as they make them for you to keep for life not to sell.
