I was so reassured over the phone that I bought the van without even looking at it (I would never normally do this). The van has been great and is sold with a 3 month RAC warranty valid at any RAC approved garage. Lakeland vans organised windows to be put in and for a cambelt and water pump change. They were so helpful and very reassuring as it is a big stress buying a second hand vehicle. Thank you! I would recommend! And have been! Me and the dog can’t wait until it’s converted!

Camper van conversion and purchase
This was my first ever dealing with Lee and the team and my first venture into a Campervan purchase! Needless to say I was nervous, as was my wife. But....having spoken with Lee briefly on the phone to start our journey, he put me at ease and exuded confidence in what he and the team could do. When we first met you felt like you'd known him forever, an old mate who was willing to help. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of money involved here but all the same, he came up trump's on everything he promised. The camper conversion was excellent and their expertise is second to none. I searched and searched for good conversion companies who sold on vans. I searched far and wide but not on my own doorstep. It was only by chance I came upon them and I would say they could challenge any in the country. So, I would say to anyone who reads this and especially those who live in the North West, stop searching and give Lee and the team a call. Your search ends here and your conversion or van begins. They are very professional, very courteous and very friendly with good after sales service. What more can you ask for. I'll be back for my yearly certifications and if need be upgrades to my van or even a new van!

We bought a lovely 5 year old Transit Custom Crew cab from Lakeland Vans in June 2025. What a fantastic experience it was like buying a new vehicle from them. From the moment we met Hugo he made my wife and I feel like the most important people in Cumbria. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to browse the whole range of vans in stock. Once we had decided on the one we wanted the sales process was hassle free. We had regular contact and updates from Hugo between agreeing the sale and collection. The extra mile this company goes to was second to none, you really felt like a valued customer throughout. They were able to adapt the vehicle we were buying to make it more comfortable for me to drive.They also collected the vehicle from my house the week after we’d bought it to finish off some work we had wanted to have done, but had not been possible to complete before we took ownership. Collection day was special too with our new van parked right up front with a ribbon on it (nice little touch) looking amazing. Hugo was brilliant at hand over sorting everything out nice a smoothly and he made my whole family feel very welcome which really made the day. I could not recommend these guys enough, very good quality vehicles, amazing customer service and really friendly staff.
