From the moment I turned up at Lakeland Campervan Conversions in Kendal on spec and was warmly welcomed by the guys in the workshop and shown around, to driving away in my beautifully converted Campervan, the experience of buying from Lee and his fantastic team has been a pleasure. I bought the van from Hugo in their van sales division, whose emphasis was on finding the right van for me personally, with no hint of any of the high pressure selling techniques you might get elsewhere. I also got a discount on the conversion work because I'd bought the van from them too. I felt the whole team were invested in finding out what would work best for me and giving advice where appropriate. They have such a lot of experience that they know what works well and what doesn't. I also rate their flexible approach. Because I wasn't sure on the layout that would work best for me, they recommended in the first instance having the basic conversion (insulation, carpeting, flooring, electrics, and windows installed) then using the van over the summer to get a feel for what would work best for me in terms of furniture layout. I'm so pleased I did that - I've just thrown a mattress and camping chairs in the back along with a portable stove and by doing this I'm starting to work out what I'd like when I take the van back to the workshop in the autumn to complete the conversion. Oh and I also got them to fit a poptop, awning and EHU, all very good decisions. Throughout the whole process Wendy and Janet in the office were at the end of the phone coordinating everything and keeping me informed. They were also extremely patient with my last minute changes of mind about colours etc! I also had a lot of helpful chats with Cory and Tom in the workshop. They and the other workshop guys (sorry I can't remember all your names) take such pride in their work that I knew I was in safe hands! The after sales support is excellent too. I noticed an annoying rattle in the back of the van and they immediately booked it in to check it over and sort it out. So to sum up, I highly recommend Lakeland Campervan Conversions as a friendly, family owned local business which prides itself on doing a high-quality job and providing excellent customer service. They know their stuff! I'm looking forward to them working on the next part of the build.

Lakeland Campervan Interiors converted a LWB VW Crafter for me (late 2024 / early 2025). The quality of the work is excellent. The build went smoothly. I live ~280 miles from Kendal. I visited Lakeland Campervan Interiors and spent time discussing specification with the team just once. My plan was to visit a couple of times, but I was not able to do that, however the van was built to my specification to a very high standard. I'll be recommending them to friends.

We bought our first campervan in July, having wanted to for years. We’d looked at many vans online and knew what we wanted, but didn’t want to overpay. We arrived and were greeted by Al who was brilliant- not pushy, but listened and let us analyse things. They had a recently converted T6 available - we were blown away by the quality. The campervan is brilliant- amazing quality and finish. It’s so good that we are still finding bits that we didn’t initially notice. The team are fantastic, not pushy but fun and helpful. Special mention to Al for his humour and patience Corey who spent ages talking us through everything. Their aftercare is excellent, listening and responding to teething issues - no job too small. Can wholeheartedly recommend, would use again.
