After some lengthy research into van builders/converters, Dan at Rise Campers came out top. An initial phone call followed by a workshop visit and I was more than confident Dan fully understood my vision. Communication is key during the build process and Dan was brilliant… WhatsApp messaging , phone calls and the regular Friday update video, plus a midway workshop visit. The final product was way beyond my expectations, craftsmanship at its best, a fully functioning off grid van delivered to my door (goodie bag too). I have made a couple of school boy errors but Dan is always available to problem solve. So it a 10/10 from me and a massive thanks to Dan and his team for all of your hard work !
When we were looking to convert a van we shortlisted a few companies who we liked the look of, but once we'd spoken to Dan we didn't bother with the others! Dan was excited to take on the challenge of a lifting bed and microcement coating in the shower and has lots of expertise in the areas we had no idea about like heating and electrics. Most importantly Dan wouldn't let anything leave his workshop that he wasn't completely happy with. We're on the way back from a 4 week trip to France and Spain and couldn't be happier with the van. Dan has been in regular contact to check that things are OK, and we know we can message him any time.

It was a pleasure working with Dan and the team at Rise getting some additions made to my camper, ready for a big trip in 2026. Stealth LED Lights all round, a tray in the garage and starlink installation all handled brilliantly and quickly by Dan and the team. I’ll be back with more work in the future for sure.
