Auto Campers

After spending days/weeks scouring the web, reading campervan reviews, and becoming very knowledgeable about vans (!) we finally homed in on a Ford Transit Custom Hi-Line as the base vehicle for our campervan. Steve was able to provide all the information we needed and answer all of our questions, even doing a WhatsApp video call with us for an hour to show us the various options. We were so informed by this information that we were confident enough to purchase our van without ever having physically seen one ! We have had our Autocamper van for 5 years now and it has been such a good purchase. We got the hi-line leisure van as it was mainly just the 2 of us using it. I'm 6ft and I can exist in this van very comfortably, I can even stand up straight where the sky-light is. The after sales support has also been great and they are always on hand to answer questions. We even managed 2 months away on it last year around Spain, France and Portugal. Most people had large motorhomes, so I quite enjoyed being able to park this anywhere and easily pass them as they struggled up the big hills in central Portugal.

Ordered a day van within 1 hour of seeing it online, got it 9 months later. Carl and Andrea ( Sheffield) where excellent all the way through, including several additions along the way. Nothing was too much trouble and the end result was excellent. We are thrilled to bits with the van and have already booked three months away in Spain. You cannot fault the service from Steve and his team- customer care is their priority and it surely shows. We have recently picked up 'Bob' our new Transit Custom based Highline MRV and we are so glad to have him. We had specific vintage scooter transport needs and the MRV was the version of choice for this purpose. Our first Scooter Show was this weekend and Bob performed perfectly. See attached photos. All in all so glad we spotted Autocampers on Youtube and we cannot wait for many more shows and ordinary camping trips.

Having already had a campervan for over 10 years, we had a preconceived idea of what we wanted. Steve very patiently listened and asked questions on how we would be using the van. Instead of our initial idea of going for a pop-top, he convinced us to go for the the high-top (which was cheaper) as it provided the additional storage which had always been a problem in our previous van. It took us over 18 months to finally take the plunge, but Steve was always there to answer our questions and was never pushy. We went for the MRV model as we needed the flexibility of transporting, different combinations of people, dogs, mobility scooters and various motorcycles. It is a great vehicle for track days. As expected with a complex custom built vehicle, there were some minor niggles. However, they were quickly and effectively addressed by an extremely competent after sales team. All in all my expectations of customer service have been exceeded. I'm pleasantly surprised, as this is not always the case when dealing with the auto trade. If you are looking for a campervan I would seriously recommend that you check out what they have to offer.
