Platinum Van Conversions

An honest review having used the van extensively over the last 12 months. We opted for the Rhossili version, with a raised fixed bed allowing extra garage space to accommodate bike storage, wet room for toilet and shower which also doubles as a space to dry clothes after a wet bike or walk (we live in Wales so we get wet a lot!), diesel heating, fridge, hob, microwave and sink. Electric hook up for when we're on official sites, solar panels and an invertor means we're ready to have the best of paid sites or wild camping. We changed the front bench seat for two captains chair so that both swivel round for when we want to eat or have the extra seating space, and the passenger bench drops down for an extra single bed. There's more than enough storage for us but extended trips do need some planning. Lighting is excellent, providing more than enough illumination over cooking and seating areas, reading lights over bed and soft strip lighting under the cabinets and flooring which is a really nice touch. The garage itself has ample space with non slip matting, room for a bike to be stored upright, 12v and 240v plugs and an external shower point to clean down the bikes or dog :) After 12 months of use, there have been only minor issues which were of personal taste rather than design or build faults and there have no issues to report and the van is going as strong as ever.
