Hired Freya for a weeks holiday in the Yorkshire Dales, I found the whole experience good and have no complaints at all, the van was clean and comfortable and everything I needed to know regarding the operation of heater, electrics etc was explained clearly. Altogether an enjoyable experience and would not hesitate to recommend.

Right from the very start of the process when we sat down with Dave and Chloe to discuss our requirements through to picking the van up we felt that they listened to what we wanted, gave advice if things where not possible and came up with alternatives. We had good communications throughout the process with Dave , Chloe and the team and visited a few times to see the progress and make final decisions on upholstery, colours etc. We were very pleased when we picked the van up and the quality and craftsmanship of the work they had done was excellent. Would highly recommend York Campervans to anyone going along the route of having their vehicle converted
Had an amazing couple of nights in Loki. They really have thought of everything and the van is finished to such a high spec! The collection and drop-off process was very straightforward, and the how to video we were sent on email meant we were already clued up in how to operate everything, and very useful to refer back to during the trip if you forget anything. The interior of the van is very luxurious and provided the perfect setting for me to get down one on knee! Would highly recommend anyone to hire a van from these guys and I'm sure we will be back again. Thanks so much

Dave, Chloe and the team at York Campervans are the most lovely, straightforward, talented and honest people who have lovingly restored our type 2 camper to a beautiful new version of itself. From the very beginning, Dave was clear with the rebuild project, outlining costs which he completely adhered to and he project managed the engine rebuild, bodywork and interior. We threw ideas at him and every single idea was met with a "can do, we can make that work" attitude. Communication was great. The boys used many features in our old van in the rebuild which made it even more special. Items that were new were chosen with thought and care; materials were high end and and the finished retro look was just perfect. There is honestly nothing negative I can say. They are a great team who are absolutely true to their word. The project moved with our timescale and finance and was finished in time for the Summer .If you want a beautiful van, look no further. The craftmanship was superb. You will not find better.
What a fantastic find York Campervans has been. Booking was so easy, and communications with Dave and Frankie was excellent. The link to the 18 minute tutorial video was invaluable as this was the first time I’d hired a VW camper, which meant I was prepared and ready to go when I picked it up for my trip. Freya (the van!) was a dream to drive, the facilities were superb (fridge, two gas burner stove and sink), loads of storage and the pull out rock and roll bed was incredibly comfortable… best nights sleep I’ve had in ages! Thoroughly enjoyable experience from pick up to drop off. I wouldn’t use anybody else for campervan hire… I’m already thinking about my next trip!
