Onyx created the van of my dreams. I work in interiors and had a clear vision of what I wanted. Flexibility in the layout and uncompromising quality were key. I searched the South East for the right partner to bring it to life, visiting three van builders in total. Onyx was the last, and wow, what a difference. The workshop was professional, spotless, and equipped with the latest machinery. I could tell straight away that they cared about the details. Great coffee and a lot of Yeti cups. Always a good sign! Chris and Heather were fantastic to work with. We visited the workshop multiple times during the build to work through the finer details. Communication was excellent, costs were transparent, and they weren’t afraid to push back on a few of my ideas. The van is better for it. The finishing detail is second to none. Since picking it up in April, we’ve used it almost every weekend, and we absolutely love it. The aftercare has been brilliant too. They’re always at the end of the phone if we need anything. I’d recommend Onyx Vans in a heartbeat.

Booked in with Onyx Vans when our water tank fell off the back of our 2016 sprinter - they refitted the tank to a much better standard than the previous fitters, made our gas tank safer/the shut off more accessible and checked over our gas system (which had stopped working at the same time as the water tank issue). Within a few hours all was fixed ready for our next adventure in the van. Heather and Chris kept all costs transparent throughout and checked in midway through the job to update on next steps and if we wanted to take them. They left us with some great advice for the future. 10/10 completely recommend - feel lucky to have found such a good camper specialist local to us. Will definitely be back to them when we need any other van attention or changes.

Chris and Heather helped us to convert our first campervan and they were wonderful to work with; they have a clear passion for vanlife and are really knowledgable, especially with van electrics, services, layout and the details that matter when you are off-grid.
